Leadership Evolution

In 1998, Alanna made a pivotal decision, hiring Sterling Garde to oversee operations. Sterling’s leadership and dedication became instrumental, leading to Alanna’s retirement and the transfer of the business to Sterling. In 2000, the company rebranded as “MedGarde,” setting the stage for its transformation. Sterling then brought in Magnus Garde as CEO and, subsequently, Portia Garde to address evolving technological needs. The resultant success of MedGarde’s acumen in medical transcription gave rise to further expansion of its speech-to-text solutions in industries outside healthcare, thus resulting in a branding evolution to “Athreon” in 2012.

Expanding Horizons

The name “Athreon” not only derives its essence from the wisdom of Athena and the navigational prowess of Orion, two iconic figures in Greek mythology, but it also stands as a testament to the company’s evolution and adaptability in meeting modern challenges. Notably, in 2015, Athreon expanded its service offerings by introducing HIPAA consulting, aligning with Athena’s virtues of wisdom and strategy to help clients navigate the complex regulations surrounding healthcare information. And, in 2020, much like Orion navigating through the dark, Athreon further broadened its scope to include cybersecurity services, addressing the critical need for secure data handling in an increasingly digital world. These added dimensions enhance Athreon’s core commitment to delivering intelligent, secure, technologically innovative, and comprehensive outsourcing solutions across multiple verticals.
